What is Resident Evil 0?

Resident Evil 0 is a survival horror prequel originally released on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002 and remastered in HD on January 19, 2016. Set before the original Resident Evil, it follows S.T.A.R.S. medic Rebecca Chambers and convicted ex-marine Billy Coen through the infested Ecliptic Express train and an abandoned Umbrella training facility deep in the Arklay Mountains.

Unlike earlier entries, Resident Evil 0 removes item boxes — you drop items on the map and retrieve them later — and adds partner zapping, letting you switch between both characters and control the AI partner at any moment.
